@@thefan974 Who did he do the favor for? Bray? AJ? Drew? Rusev? Ambrose? Because he beat all those young guys. The last 5 guys he lost to (over a 10 year span) was Roman, HHH, HBK, Kane, and Lesnar. Roman was the only legit young guy that benefited from Takers last 10 years of work. Lesnar didn't need the Mania win over Taker, it was a nice legacy win for him but not necessary.

Undertaker has been a part of my child since five years old. I started writing fiction at eighteen. One thing I said to myself in 2003 when I started writing is I needed a character to honor Mark Calaway. This character who is immortal and fights all over the galaxy and is the absolute best. Even the main character wants to fight him so bad he pretty much does anything and everything painting an image of him being a bad guy like Creed did in Rocky 2 just to get the fight and it works. Of course Takers character really gives him a beating but gives the MC the respect he wanted. Thank you Taker for everything
@ColeJJJTurner

It is weird how this is his last match, but it is kind of fitting. After everything and how wrestling is today, it is interesting to see his last match be pre-recorded with no fans, in a more civilized look after how many decades he stayed in character/gimmick for the majority of the time even outside of the ring as basically the last guy to do so, finally wrestling with not just a WWE star but a worldwide star from TNA/NJPW/ROH for the first time after how many times during his career he was expected to wrestle other worldwide stars for them to come in for a one time thing or a stretch of matches in a feud and then leave such as Abyss but never happened, making it personal with the commentary during it, having many throwbacks to the beginning days as Undertaker and Bearer with the set design and match stipulation and other things being reminiscence to those old WWE PPVs with him in his old look and the old buried alive matches, the ending with him riding off, having him live up to the character by defeating so many opponents instead of looking washed-up, using moves from their match that have not been seen in a while and could be the last, a head shot with an item, etc. This could have easily been something to look back on and say, "Really, this is his last match," and be disgusted by it and beg him to wrestle one final time after COVID-19/lockdown. They were able to, somehow, make it work though. Plus, after all of the prior/recent WMs, there was no way to do it as properly as they should have or fix their errors in a more traditional WM match in front of a live audience. This was the right way to go. Credit to Styles for calling Undertaker and asking him to take part in this match to send him off properly instead of letting those pathetic matches, ever since Lesnar won, being his last.
